Music Ministry
Our worship is simple but heartfelt. Piano, drums and a few singers lead us in worship songs and the pipe organ trumpets hymns of praise. It’s the voice of the people worshiping Jesus from their hearts.
We encourage hearty singing and choose songs that are easy to sing. We select keys that are not-too-high, not-too-low for the average singer. We sing a wide variety of songs, from traditional hymns to gospel to contemporary. All songs are projected.
St. Paul's has a rich musical heritage, and we employ a wide variety of music from classical to contemporary to multicultural music. We are fortunate to have a lovely 9' Baldwin concert grand piano and a real pipe organ, and we also enjoy state-of-the-art audio-visual and recording equipment. Worship services and many funerals are streamed on YouTube.
St. Paul's Choir, one of the oldest church choirs in the Twin Cities, was formed soon after the congregation was organized in 1872. We continued that long history until 2020, when the choir was unable to continue.
