Worship Ministry

Our worship is focused on our purpose statement:

To Know Jesus
To Grow in Jesus
To Share Jesus with Others

This statement has a prominent place on a wall in our sanctuary and serves  as a constant reminder of what we are about.

We follow an order of service printed in a bulletin, but we do not use a liturgy.  We use a variety of traditional hymns and contemporary praise songs.  Our goal with the music is to bring glory to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Communion is celebrated once a month on the first Sunday of the month.  All who profess Jesus as their Lord and Savior are welcomed to commune with us.

The sermons are teaching sermons with practical examples of how to apply what the Word of God says to our everyday life.  Sermon notes are always provided in church and online (link to sermon note page).

The entire worship service is recorded and can be found online. (Link to sermon page).

Prayer Ministry

Prayer, along with the Word of God, is the lifeblood of our church.  The Elders are up in front by the chancel to pray with people and anoint them with oil at the end of the worship service.  (Add pictures)

Every Sunday night at 6:00 PM we have a zoom prayer time for all.  The purpose is to come together and pray about our personal and church needs.  It is led by one of our elders, Pastor John Spaulding.  We usually pray for an hour.   (insert QR code or link)

Every six weeks, we have a Sunday of prayer and fasting led by Pastor Tom Parrish.  We pray about multiple topics from 5:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M.  Following this time of prayer, we break the fast together with a light dinner.  (Add pictures)

On the first Sunday of month, April-November, we conduct a prayer walk in the neighborhood during the Education Hour at 9:00am. People who are unable to walk the neighborhood remain at the church and pray for the people in the neighborhood, while some people walk the streets around our church. The purpose is to pray for the other ministries and people in our immediate community.  We distribute information about our services and will pray with individuals if they are agreeable to prayer.
